Bleach heat the soul 7: Japanese only

Bleach Heat the soul was released this mount on September 2nd. In the five years since the game franchise began, Sony has managed to create seven games, all exclusively for the PSP. Although Bleach is a popular anime in America, Sony refuses to release an English version for the game and bring it over to America.

The reason why may be because the Bleach series doesn't have a big enough fan base for it to be released. It's not as popular as Naruto of Dragon Ball Z, which is why we see so many games of those animes. But even so I would get this game even if it is in Japanese. I'm just a big Bleach fan.

A new Dante for Devil May Cry 5

My first impression of one my favorite video games was "Oh. Dear God. What have they done to Dante?!" I've been waiting about a year for this game to come out and this is what they do to there fans? Don't get me wrong the game trailer looked decent but the background setting and Dante's appearance are completely different then the previous Devil May Cry series.

If you take a close look at "Dante" you see he has scars, bruises, and skin discoloration. Not a good look unless you're a zombie or emo Twilight fan (yeah, I went there). He has a United kingdom flag on one arm of his jacket. He's not really eye candy like Dante or Nero, but that's not the real issue here.

I'm not one of the fans that are upset because his hair isn't white or because he looks like a starving hobo. No, It's because Ninja Theory completely rebooted the series and changed Dante's character. Completely. This isn't Dante with a new look, this is a different guy. If Nina Theory wanted to change everything about the game except Dante's name and the demons, then they should have just made this game with a different title. The game would more likely be accepted by people if this game wasn't a reboot of DMC. I was hoping the next DMC game would tell us more about Nero's relation with Kyria.

Biased off the trailer, the new DMC game doesn't look like anything special. The new Dante was just fighting demons with some kicks and flips while destroying things. I am not amused by this. Where's the story plot? Usually, game trailers give us some idea what the game will be about. And why is he the only one we see in the trailer?

I'm actually hoping the game turns out bad so Capcom will bring back Dante or Nero. However, is this game turns out to be fantastic, I'll change my opinion.

Assassins Creed on my PSP

A few days age I went to games stop and got the game, Assassins Creed Bloodlines. I was unsure if I should get this game because I've already played the PS3 version of the game and thought the PSP version wouldn't be as good. Well, I was kinda right.

In the PSP version, I notice that they left out a few things that where in the PS3 version. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed playing it, I just would deferentially prefer the PS3 game of Assassins creed, even though I don't have a PS3 (yet). Some of the things the PSP version was lacking was:

The graphics. Well, of course with any PSP game, the graphics won't be as good as the PS3. But good graphics just make the games more realistic and add intensity to the game.
There were less people in the game. If you've played the PS3 version of Assassins Creed, you noticed that the streets were filled with people. In the PSP, you'll only have at the most 5 people in a street who aren't very responsive. But I guess that's as good a PSP game can get because they don't hold as much data as a PS3.
There were a few noticeable glitches. I noticed that the background music would skip a few time when Altair (the assassin) would talk to someone. So would the voices of the people.
The detection of Altair is less sensitive. If you so much as get an inch near a person in the PS3 version, you bump into them they say something which draws attention from other people. You can brush past a crowd of people by gently pushing them. In the PSP version you can walk right into a civilian without getting any response and the gentle push is not an option.

Those are just a few things I've noticed. There may be more that I haven't. I'd say the PSP version is a good practice before you play the PS3 version, which is a bit more changeling. When I first played the PS3 game of it on my nephews PS3 I kept messing up a lot because I didn't remember the buttons.

While I was looking up the day that the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep game comes out, which is September 7th, I found out about another great PSP game coming out in November. Okay, I might be late about finding out about this but I'll announce it anyway. The
God of War: Ghost of Sparta game will be coming out for the PSP on November 2nd. By the looks of the preview, I'd say it will be just as good, maybe better then the first. Deferentially looking forward to that.

Edit: Sep. 12th
Okay, I'm not sure if this is a glitch or a malfunction in the game but the same thing keeps happening at a certain part of the game. Right after Altair gets of the boat and starts walking around the game freezes. I can't even press the home button to exit the game. Has anyone else had this problem? Because nothing like this has happened with any game I've played on my PSP.

Sony PSP Android phone?

Rumors are saying that Sony Ericsson could be releasing an Android smartphone designed for handheald gaming. Gagit says it will be somewhere between the Samsung captivate phone and the PSP go.

Running Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), the phone's added phsyical game controller and possible PlayStation branding suggest that its killer feature will be access to the PlayStation Network's collection of original PlayStation and PSP games. Whether it will be via PSN or a special section of the Android marketplace (Engadget's sources indicate the latter) remains to be determined.

Frankly, I find this to be a cool idea. I'd be the only reason I would want to get a PSP go. Any thoughts on this? Leave a comment.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 Gamescom

If any of you have been watching the Naruto Shippuden series (I watch it on Hulu), you'd notice that these are game characters that haven't even been released in the English dub of Naruto Shippuden yet. The trailer show's the playable fighting scene of Sasuke and Itachi's final showdown.

There are over 40 characters to choose from, with bigger and more epic cinematic boss battles.

My PSP Dissidia Final Fantasy Gamplay

Dissidia Final Fantasy
Here is a video of my gameplay from my PSP game, Dissidia Final Fantasy. I played around with the camera views to make it more interesting to look at. This is one of the only games I know of that allows you to record your actual gameplay without hacking your psp.

By the way does anyone know if I can hack my psp 3000? Does that hack exist yet? Let me know in the comments.

Edit: I realized a very easy way to record high quality gameplay footage off your psp without hacking it or having CFW (custom firm ware). I can't believe I didn't think of it before! If anyone is interested, I'll tell you how to do it in another blog entry.

Street Fighter X Tekken: Two classic fighting games combined together

It is exactly what it sounds like: a fighting game that pits the characters from Street Fighter against those of Tekken. A great combination of two of my favorite classic fighting games. Comic-Con Capcom and Namco teamed up for a surprising announcement. The two developers are collaborating to produce Street Fighter X Tekken. The fighters will all retain their signature moves.

Note that it is not called Street Fighter vs. Tekken. The title is pronounced Street Fighter "Cross" Tekken.

Street Fighter X Tekken is being developed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. When will it be out? Capcom says "not for a while." Namco also said it is creating its own version of the game, Tekken X Street Fighter, but details on that aren't available at this time.

[Reopen] Final Fantasy Versus XIII Begins Voice Casting

First of let me start by saying I've decided to reopen this blog. It would seem like a waste of effort if I just closed it.

The first time I heard about this game was in 2007. I saw the game trailer and feel in love. Creator of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Tetsuya Nomura, has been busy tweeting the progress of upcoming Square Enix titles. One of the most interesting bits offers insight to the progress of Versus, and narrows down at which game shows it may appear.

"Versus has had many difficulties, and past method of production have been completely inapplicable, but these are the difficulties of birth, so we are working hard,” said Nomura. “We have a lot to announce, but because we're going in order, I can't say too much yet."

According to Andriasang, when Nomura speaks of “order” he is referring to a policy Square Enix holds in which the publisher only advertises games in the order of release.

Responding to questions about the game’s field of play, Nomura said that it will not be “completely open world.” Instead, he says it will be “like the 2D FF games in HD.” By this he means that it will look much like the over-the-shoulder, third person screenshots that have been restricted to print-only so far.

Nomura also revealed Square Enix’s upcoming voice recording schedule. The next Parasite Eve game, The 3rd Birthday, is finishing up shortly. After that, Final Fantasy Agito XIII will begin recording. Versus is just beginning the casting progress.

No dates or concrete details have been released, but this news suggests that the release of Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still a way off.

Personal favorite video game music

Playing video games is very fun and enjoyable, and once in I a while I will hear a song I really like. This is my list of my favorite video game music and songs.

Final fantasy VII. The classical versions:
• Aerith's theme
• Tifa's theme
• Main theme of FF7
• Fighting
• The Final fantasy advent children metal theme of one winged angel

Dissidia Final Fantasy:
• Cosmos
• Chaos: Last battle 1,2,3- By Your Favorite Enemies
• Keeping the peace

Kingdom Hearts:
•Dearly beloved
•simple and clean

I really like the Chaos: Last battle songs by Your Favorite Enemies. The best way I would describe them would be hauntingly beautiful.

Edit: 7/18/10

I managed to find all of the songs and create a playlist. Enjoy:
